These two tokens are the foundation of the Apes Online ecosystem, and each one serves a very important role. They will be minted on Ethereum, with cross-chain functions coming at a later date based on community voting.
What is $AOL used for? AOL tokens are the primary activity and reward unit in Apes Online. They are earned by playing games, participating in community activities, and contributing to community growth (art, marketing, code, etc) and can be used to purchase NFTs, play games, participate in activities, utilize various dApps on the platform, tip your fellow ape, and more!
What is $MODEM used for? MODEM tokens are the backbone of the AOL community, being used for everything from access to exclusive ape channels, voting in governance, bootstrapping ecosystem projects, and a couple sekret purposes to be announced at a later date! They can be earned by contributing to community growth and participating in community activities/governance. Put more simply, $MODEM is your “ticket” to the show, the experience of Apes Online.
